Advice for Beginners

by Trevor Aung Than on November 22, 2012

My brother, Gavin, recently published this comic Advice for Beginners illustrating a quote by Ira Glass. It was a great reminder. Every great storyteller, painter, musician, superhero, yogi or circus artist would have sucked at some point but they stuck at it until they didn’t suck anymore. Author David Kadavy writes about it in his blogpost Permission to Suck.

It’s been awhile between posts and I apologize – I have been busy setting up another business which is called airyoga – website coming soon! It’s our take on aerial yoga and my cohorts are my beautiful wife, Nat, and my old friend Ash Lau who has been training the circus arts in Beijing and Montreal over the past 3 years. We believe it is the perfect blend of yoga, dynamic stretching and accessible aerial skills for those people looking for a different challenge.

A short post today, on the day that I turn 34-years old. It’s a great day to reflect on what has gone, what it is now and what it will be. A day I will spend with my family and friends. Hope the 22nd of November is a good one for you too.
